Circus Nefarious is a circus sideshow entertainment project offering thrilling and humorous spectacles for all audiences PG to R. Based in New England, Circus Nefarious is spearheaded by proprietor Viscera Nefarious who wrangles a rotating cast of various circus performers in classic DIY traveling carnival style.
We specialize in the odd, queer, and unusual, and our goal is to thrill and amuse in equal measure. Whether you need a little extra ambience for your private event, a duo act for your all-ages festival, or a full ten-in-one sideshow with fire-breathing, Circus Nefarious is your ticket to a wowed crowd.
All artists performing with Circus Nefarious are professionally trained and fully insured. COIs available upon request.
Viscera
Pain proof Ringmistress & fire breather
Viscera Nefarious (she/her/hearse) is a New England based sideshow artist and street performer who delights audiences of all ages with her death defying stunts, huge fireballs, and unconscionable dad jokes.
She also delights audiences of adults-only ages with her work in the nightlife performance scene, which she facilitates as the resident Circus Producer at Burning Roses Burlesque.
Viscera is a lifelong performer and a graduate of Coney Island USA's Sideshow School.
When the stellar Cedar (they/he) isn't performing on the circus stage, he's above it handling the rigging, or behind it as a stage manager, or beside it as a fire safety. We're not sure if he's ever just watched a show.
Cedar is a graduate of the New England Center for Circus Arts' ProTrack program, where he specialized in aerial sling and Chinese pole. His consistently expanding repertoire includes burlesque, lollipop lyra, aerial chains, aerial pole, and more.

Auria
Indestructible strong woman
Auria Virelle (she/her) is a history nerd that fell in with clowns and became a carnie. She regularly appears with Circus Nefarious as our indestructible strong woman, demonstrating her imperviousness to broken glass and sharp blades while casually destroying perfectly good metal objects with her super strength.
Auria follows the sideshow tradition of studying directly under experienced performers, and has traveled with multiple shows over the years. She is lauded among the cast as the only person with worse jokes than Viscera.
Omen (they/them) is a professional dancer, pole artist, acrobat and fire spinner. Their strength, movement, and artistry earned them a gold medal in the 2025 PSO Pole Sport Championships. Between the gasps and rounds of applause, you can also hear the roar of the flames from their torches and dragon staff that have marked them as our premier fire performer.
A longtime movement artist, Omen has honed their skills in the ProTrack programs of Actors Gym and the New England Center for Circus Arts.
